Desktop Motherboard - Intel E7501 -Extended ATX, SE7501BR2 SE-7501BR2 SE7501-BR2 SE-7501-BR2 SE7501BR-2 SE-7501BR-2 SE7501-BR-2 SE-7501-BR-2 SE7-501BR2,
The Intel Server Board SE7501BR2 supporting dual Intel Xeon processors with up to 2MB L3 cache, a 533MHz system bus, and the Intel E7501 chipset enables you to create an extraordinary selection of powerful systems - including high-powered workgroup servers, high-throughput Web servers, fast-access database servers, high-transaction e-mail servers, and more. Building on the bandwidth and performance-enhancing features of Intel NetBurst microarchitecture and Hyper-Threading Technology, the Server Board SE7501BR2 adds power and flexibility in multiple dimensions. The board also includes an Ultra320 single-channel SCSI controller, two integrated Intel PRO Network Connections, and three independent PCI buses.
With the Intel Server Board SE7501BR2, businesses can take advantage of a sophisticated approach to server management. A new version of Intel Server Management provides integrated in-band and out-of-band remote management, event alerting and logging (including e-mail notification), and proactive fault management. The Intel One Boot Update feature of the Intel Server Board SE7501BR2, in conjunction with Intel Server Management, enables system administrators to remotely update a server's BIOS and firmware while the system is running. These updates become active the next time the server is rebooted and, should there be a problem during reboot, the system will roll-back to the last BIOS and firmware versions and continue booting. These capabilities help keep servers up and maintenance costs down, while freeing support staff to focus on enhancing system effectiveness and user productivity.
The Intel Server Board SE7501BR2 addresses diverse customer needs, with support for up to 8 GB of ECC DDR266 SDRAM using a dual channel architecture for improved performance, six full-length PCI slots with support for PCI-X adapter cards, and support for the Intel RAID Controller SRCZCR, which provides a low-cost U320 SCSI RAID solution using the on-board SCSI controller. All this gives small and medium-sized companies a smooth growth path for their applications and businesses.
The SE7501BR2 server board enables entry-level RAID functionality known as HostRAID via Adaptec's AIC-7901 SCSISelect Utility embedded in the controller's option ROM (Ctrl-A), and an Alert Utility used to provide automatic error/warning notification and task information. The HostRAID functionality while supporting all major SCSI peripherals enables support for up to 2 RAID arrays on the AIC-7901 single channel controller meeting the following configuration: One RAID 0 with 3 or 4 drives; Two RAID 0s with two drives each; One RAID 0 with two drives and one RAID 1; Two RAID 1s with or without a spare each.
